The Docutain SDK for Kotlin Multiplatform brings high quality document scanning, data extraction, text recognition, PDF creation and photo payment features to your mobile apps, known from the world famous Docutain document management app used by millions of users around the world.

The SDK currently targets Android and iOS. Its common API is available from commonMain, while the platform implementations use the native Docutain SDKs.

Data protection

The Docutain SDK works completely offline. All data generated by the Docutain SDK is only stored on the end user's device and never transferred to an external server / cloud service.

This eliminates any data protection risk and makes the Docutain SDK the first choice even for high-security sectors, e.g. banking and insurance.

If you wish to upload any data to any server, you need to handle this yourself.

Reliability

Since the Docutain SDK runs offline on the respective device, without any server connection, reliability is guaranteed.
