The Docutain SDK for Android brings high quality document scanning, data extraction, text recognition and PDF creation features to your mobile apps, known from the world famous Docutain document management app used by millions of users around the world.

Requirements​

Operating System​

  • Android 5.0 (Api Level 21) and higher

Hardware​

  • Rear-facing camera if you want to use the document scanning functionality
  • Supported ABIs: armeabi-v7 arm64-v8a

Emulator​

Although you can run the app on an emulator, the Docutain SDK is currently an empty shell. So in order to test the Docutain SDK, you need to run it on a real (physical) device.

Offline-functionality​

The Docutain SDK works completely offline. All data generated by the Docutain SDK is only stored on the end user's device and never transferred to a server / cloud service controlled by us. If you whish to upload any data to any server, you need to handle this yourself.
